Horn Book Review

Branigan's cat Llewellyn is unwelcome in the village because of his fierce looks. His ferociousness puts a temporary stop to an avenging ghost, and his bravery is rewarded when he survives three magical adventures. The artwork is similar to Trina Schart Hyman's illustrations. This tale works better as a story for reading aloud than as a picture book. From HORN BOOK 1990, (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
