Horn Book Review

Objects of all shapes and sizes float by Little Bear's tiny island. Although he discovers a friend in a delightful wooden horse, he is soon distracted by other things that wash up on the shore. In his desire to gather as much stuff as he can, he almost loses the wooden horse for good. Peppy, expressive illustrations offset the book's somewhat heavy-handed message.
