Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat, the day is almost done. Not yet, Mother, I still can see the sun. Kitty Cat should be getting ready for bed, but instead she's playing peekaboo, imagining she's in outer space, tickling her toes, and more. Will Kitty Cat make it to bed on time? Adorable pastel illustrations rendered in watercolor paints and colored pencil from Laura J Bryant bring Kitty Cat so close you'll want to reach out and hug her!

Horn Book Review

A kitten resists her mother's efforts to prepare her for bed. While the kitty offers excuses at every step of the way, as detailed in lilting rhymes, the pictures show that she eventually does do what's expected (e.g., while playing a quick game of peekaboo, she's also changing out of her shirt). Watercolor and colored-pencil illustrations give the characters winsome expressions. (c) Copyright 2011. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
