Horn Book Review

In 'All Saints', a superficial and disorganized text fails to explain clearly how the customs of these three autumn holidays are connected to their pagan histories. 'Chinese New Year' also inadequately links the holiday's many cultural traditions and religious themes to China's history, leaving readers with disconnected images of this rich celebration. Bright photographs illustrate the texts. Bib., glos., ind. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
