Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

What's a cat to do when left all alone at home? Why, invite the neighborhood cats over, of course! A quiet afternoon for one quickly becomes a party for twenty.
Lauren Thompson's clever verse will guide young listeners to count from one to twenty and back again, introducing them to early math skills along the way. Kids will have a blast following their favorite felines as they rush and roam through Robin Eley's vivid and playful illustrations.

Horn Book Review

Twenty kitties "skipping, scamping!...verving, vamping!" make their way through this counting book. Cats arrive and depart in groups of varying sizes, drawing on readers' addition and subtraction skills; on some spreads the cats are drawn in configurations that touch on multiplication: "Twelve fine cats in three lines of four." The illustrations have a slightly static quality, but each of the cats is unique. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
