Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

Here's a new volume every bit as charming and as mesmerizing as its companion, The Adventures of Polo. When the resourceful dog sets aside his brand-new book and drifts off to sleep, a curious little creature makes off with it. Polo follows in hot pursuit, setting the stage for a new series of adventures--into the sky, to a mysterious cloud made of cotton candy, through fun-house mirrors, on hot air balloons, across a desert and into the jungle. As before, Polo's journey is packed with incident and expression--80 pages of seamless, satisfying picture storytelling that call to mind the worlds of classic animated film, comics, and books.

Horn Book Review

(Preschool, Primary) In his second wordless outing, little dog Polo (The Adventures of Polo, rev. 5/06) is on a mission. A middle-of-the-night intruder (one of the round, stick-legged, glowing-green aliens from the first volume) ""borrows"" Polo's new book, and our peripatetic hero sets off in hot pursuit. Once again, with his fully stocked backpack, resourceful Polo sails, flies, climbs, and falls into a wildly imaginative series of dreamlike vignettes. Faller's richly colored, easy-to-follow panel and full-page illustrations relate the story of Polo's journey through a mirror, across empty white space and the high seas, and through jungles and deserts. As before, Polo makes friends (and even an enemy) along the way; this time he alternately loses sight of and stumbles upon the book thief numerous times. While this book's format is the same as the first, Polo's fantastic adventures here are wholly new. Clever allusions to Harold and the Purple Crayon and ""Jack and the Beanstalk"" will entertain both readers and pre-readers. Polo finally catches up with the little alien at a story hour: he's sharing Polo's book with his friends. And who could be angry about that? (c) Copyright 2010.
